Job Summary
Texas Power Bars is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Metal Products Assembly Technician to join our production team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building things, working with tools, assembling metal parts, and taking pride in producing a high-quality finished product.
You will help assemble barbells and strength equipment, inspect parts and completed products, package customer orders, and prepare products for shipment. You may also assist with making parts and operating shop equipment after training.
This is not strictly a warehouse position. You will be directly involved in building American-made metal products and strength equipment used by athletes, gyms, colleges, coaches, and home-gym owners across the country.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with their hands, and interested in learning different areas of manufacturing, assembly, and shipping.
Responsibilities
- Assemble barbells and other metal strength-training products
- Install sleeves, bushings, end caps, labels, hardware, and related components
- Use hand tools, power tools, presses, measuring tools, and shop equipment
- Follow assembly instructions, product specifications, and quality standards
- Inspect metal parts and finished products for fit, appearance, function, and quality
- Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect parts
- Assist with loading and unloading parts and materials
- Package completed products securely for shipment
- Pull, prepare, and process customer orders accurately
- Help receive, organize, and move raw materials and finished products
- Perform basic equipment cleaning and routine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with production and shipping as needed
Qualifications
- Previous metal assembly, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or mechanical experience is preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical ability and willingness to learn
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to stand and perform physical work throughout the day
- Able to safely lift and move barbells, packages, parts, and materials
- Committed to following workplace safety procedures
Helpful Experience
Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:
- Metal product assembly
- Manufacturing or machine-shop work
- Welding or metal fabrication
- Automotive, motorcycle, or equipment repair
- Mechanical or product assembly
- Construction, maintenance, or skilled trades
- Warehouse fulfillment and shipping
- Shopify or ShipStation
- Strength training, powerlifting, or fitness equipment
We are willing to train the right person. Reliability, mechanical ability, work ethic, and pride in producing a quality product are more important than having experience in every area.

Compensation: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
